Ganguly the Captain

It is absolutely disheartening to know that the Indian captain Sourav Ganguly is getting such harsh criticism about the recent loss to Pakistan in the Bangalore test. He along with the outgoing coach John Wright have shaped the present Indian Team to be some sort of threat to the mighty Australians. They have indeed put India on the worlds cricketing map and the fan now go to view a match with an expectations to see the Indian team win. This was not the case five years ago when the Indian team was branded as the unpredictable.

Ganguly is the man who leads a Team of champions and has indeed done very well. He single headedly has pulled the Indian team out of pits. His ability to take risks and his immaculate killer instinct has made the Indian Team as the only threat to the Australians. I for once can think of no one to replace Ganguly as the captain.

If I were to select the team, I would rather go with 5 specialist batsmen, 4 specialist bowlers, 1 specialist wicket keeper and 1 specialist captain and most certainly he the best that India has for the job. With 19 wins under his belt and having most of them as away wins, without doubt, he is the best captain the Indian Cricket has ever produced.

It will rather be nice if the fans in India and especially Bishan Singh Bedi, expressed some gratitude for what Ganguly has done for Cricket in India.

Pass Number - a struggle

CalculationPassNumber, CalculationCurrentPass are some functions of Analysis Services that I want to run away from, but it makes me sick to know that they are one of the most important functions to know whilst in an extremely, perhaps dreadfully complex calculation situations. I have been beating my head to understand this for quite sometime now but instead have learnt more about some other things in MDX and Analysis Services. Though my knowledge of MDX and Analysis Services is much better now but this "Pass Number" is something that is turning out be my worst struggle for knowledge.

Tendulkar disappoints me

Cricket is one of those sports where a person is either a die-hard fan or knows nothing about it. I am one of the former.

I have been in arguments with many of my friends about good players in cricket and my views have always been against many.
For instance I will not rate Tendulkar higher than Gavaskar, Rahul Dravid or VVS Laxman. This is because Tendulkar has not faced the bowling attack that Gavaskar faced and he is NOT A GOOD PLAYER UNDER PRESSURE. Time and again Tendulkar has thrown his wicket off when the team required him to be there at the crease. Unlike Dravid or Laxman, Tendulkar wobbles under pressure. Also the most annoying fact about Tendulkar is that he is in Cricket for records and not for the team. He always plays for himself. He puts himself under pressure and plays.
Another player that i would like to comment on is Sehwag. An absolute treat to watch, but under pressure he is not as good but certainly better than Tendulkar.
